Russia`s Nanoindustry Requires High-Quality Engineering Infrastructu Obtaining materials, devices and systems on
a nanometric scale require high production cleanness and electronic hygiene. This can be achieved by a sophisticated unified system of rooms of high cleaness, high-technology equipment, state-of-the-art engineering services. Not every engineering company can create such a complex. For this purpose it is necessary to provide complex project, building and engineering solutions. One of the companies which offer such solutions is the JSC Farmstrong possessing extensive experience and a large client portfolio in creation of clean rooms. The article considers current requirements to clean rooms, particularities of their creation for nanotechnologies.

SPM – Diagnostics of a Material Surface. Modelling of Defect Images One of the most urgent tasks while investigating surface structure of construction materials is calculation of numerical characteristics of surfaces of steel and alloy samples using scanning probe microscopy (SPM). The article considers results of creation of a method for SPM – diagnostics of the state of construction materials for industrial equipment using a hardware and software complex based on atomic-force microscopy.

Implementation of the Innovation Potential of an Institution of Higher Education. Nanotechnological Platform of "LETI" The documents determining the innovation strategy of Russia contain the task of formation of a multisectoral high-technology economically stable competitive scientific and technological complex providing global positioning of the state in the market of military and civil products. Taking into account these priorities, if a country is to take a deserving place in the world market of science-intensive products, as well as to transit to a new technological structure, development of nanotechnologies seems to be an expedient solution. The aim of the work presented is a systematized description of priority lines of scientific, infrastructure-organizational components of the scientific and educational platform with a "nano" prefix, which is being formed in St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University (SPbSETU) «LETI".

Distant Practical Course of Scanning Probe Microscopy The author shares the experience of creating and testing of a practical course of scanning probe microscopy at MSU. The authors of the course are leading specialists in the field of scanning probe microscopy, alumni and staff of MSU. A weight model of a scanning probe microscope was created. It allows for setting feedback control without damage to the real device. Currently, all practice courses of probe microscopy are also available in the distance education format.

Terminology in Nanotechnologies A necessary condition of nanotechnology development is introduction of a unified technical language for interdisciplinary communication and information exchange, providing security in production, turnover and consumption of nanomaterials and innovation products on their basis. As standardization is a generally recognized tool for technical regulation of any activity, its role in creation of regulated paradigm, characteristics, methods and means, assessment, control and tests embracing the whole life cycle of nanoproducts from scientific search to application and utilization is difficult to overestimate. .

Photo-Activity of Actinomycine Nano-Complexes The example of actinomycins was used to study the possibility of increasing the anti-tumor activity of heterocyclic antibiotics due to photo-activation of their nano-complexes. The model experiments with solutions of actinomycins showed that actinomycins have a significant photochemical activity (of their own) changing at binding to DNA in a solution or in tumor cells. Photo-destruction of HeLa cells and the release of the antibiotic were observed.
